Classroom Policies

     Bring materials (textbook, notebooks, folder, pencils, pen,
     an inexpensive calculator) to class each day

7th graders may bring drinking water with them.
High school students may bring water or juice with them.
Gum is allowed as long as I can not see it or hear it.

Classes are 45 minutes long; therefore you need to go to the restroom or get a drink between classes. Asking to leave class will be discouraged. If you do need to leave ask, you may be granted permission to leave. You cannot leave the last 10 minutes of class.

Cell phones are to be turned off in class. A cell phone box will be provided if a student is  tempted to want to use it or look at it.  If a  student uses a phone during a class... 1st - phone will be taken away and turned in to the office (student can pick it up after school) 60 minutes detention; 2nd - phone will be taken away and turned in to the office (parent can pick it up after school) 60 minutes detention; subsequent offences - see the student handbook.

Your Grade


 Assignments - 15 % of grade,  Quizzes every couple of days - 15% of grade, Chapter Tests and other assessments - 70%.

*** You must show work to receive full credit ***.

Quality work - Assignments are due the next day unless directions given otherwise. Remember to show work.

Tests - if less than 60% correct, you may make arrangements on your own time to correct to a 60% within 10 school days unless special arrangements/circumstances are made/come up.

Grades are posted in the classroom by student number most every week. They are also posted on Parent Link.

Late work will receive 1/2 credit.

If you are absent, you are allowed one day for each day absent plus one additional day to make up the missing assignment.

On the third tardy and any tardy after that, the student will earn a 10 minute detention to be served in the next 48 hours

If you feel you need extra help, make arrangements for before or after school help on most days. I am also available during 1st hour Junior High study hall. Get help before you get lost!
