Classroom Policies

pencils, pen, an inexpensive calculator) to class each day
7th graders may bring
drinking water with them. High school students may bring water or juice with them. Gum is allowed as long as I can
not see it or hear it.
You must use a line in your passport to go anyplace (restroom, drink, health care,
library, etc)
Cell phones are to be turned off in class. If a student uses a phone during a class... 1st
- phone will be taken away and turned in to the office (student can pick it up after school) 60 minutes detention; 2nd - phone
will be taken away and turned in to the office (parent can pick it up after school) 60 minutes detention; subsequent offences
- a Saturday School and parents can pick the phone up after school. The student may be asked to leave their phone in the office
during the day.

Quality work - If assignments are less that 80% correct, your paper will be returned to you marked
with a date of one week to correct errors. Please redo the problems missed on a separate piece of paper and staple
the corrections on top of the original paper. Remember to show work.
Tests - if less than 65% correct, you may
make arrangements on your own time to correct to a 65% within a reasonable time (approx. 2 weeks)
Grades are posted
in the classroom by student number most every week. 7th graders will be asked to record their grade in their planner
so their parents can see how they are doing each week.
7th grade students who do not hand all assignments in for
the previous week will be notified on Monday as to what is missing. They will be given until Wednesday to get it in for 1/2
credit. Parents also will be notified by email or phone. If the work doesn't come in by Wednesday 3:15, they will
be assigned a Saturday School.
Make-up work - you are allowed one day for each day absent plus one additional day. Late work will receive 1/2 credit of the corrected value. It can not be corrected.
Starting with the third tardy
in class, you will serve a 15 minute detention.
If you feel you need extra help, make arrangements for before or
after school help on most days. Get help before you get lost!
